The Treasure Valley's local winter recreation area is located just 16-miles from downtown Boise, Idaho. Summers are cooler in the mountains and Bogus Basin is the perfect daytrip getaway for hiking, biking and picnics. Reserve one of our lodges for your next conference, reunion or retreat, or for the perfect outdoor wedding & reception. During full winter operation, Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is open 7-days a week with 2,600 acres, 7 chairlifts (including 2 high-speed quads), 37km of nordic trails, and three terrain parks that offer wide variety for skiers and snowboarders. 165 lighted acres on the front and back sides of the mountain plus 3.8km of solar-lit Nordic trails provide recreation after hours, after dark. Mountain amenities include lessons for ages 3+, equipment lease and rentals,a retail shop, child care facilities, 3 day lodges with food service and the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing Hill.
